Common questions
Does TakeBrief upload my full video?
No. The original video stays in Android MediaStore on your device. After you request a check, TakeBrief uploads only compressed extracted audio, up to 12 resized sampled frames, and OCR text needed for that analysis.
Why did TakeBrief mark an item Review, Missing, or Manual?
Automated checks can be uncertain or unsupported. Open the evidence, compare it with the original brief and recording, and make the final creator decision. TakeBrief never replaces brand or client approval.
How do I restore Pro access?
Use the same linked TakeBrief account and Google Play account used for purchase, then choose Restore purchases in Settings. If access is still missing, email support with your support ID and Google Play order number. Do not send full payment details.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Cancel through Google Play under Payments & subscriptions. Deleting TakeBrief, deleting your TakeBrief account, or uninstalling the app does not cancel billing.
How do I delete my account?
Follow the official TakeBrief account-deletion instructions. The public email pathway works even if you cannot access or reinstall the app.
Which brief files are supported?
TakeBrief supports pasted brief text and selectable-text PDFs within the limits shown in the app. Scanned-image PDFs are not supported; paste the brief text instead.
What should I send when reporting a technical problem?
Send the support ID, app version, Android version, device model, the action you attempted, the displayed error code, and the approximate time. Remove unnecessary personal, client, or confidential content.
