TakeBrief by Limocon Tech
Privacy Policy
Effective 7 August 2026
TakeBrief keeps your original recorded video on your Android device. It uploads only the brief material and bounded analysis inputs needed for a check you request: extracted audio, up to 12 sampled frames, and OCR text. TakeBrief does not sell personal information.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the TakeBrief mobile app, its account, brief-processing, verification, subscription, support, and related web resources operated by Limocon Tech. TakeBrief helps creators turn a brief into a checklist, record a take, and review supported requirements using evidence and creator judgment.
2. Information we process
Account and consent data
TakeBrief creates an anonymous Supabase account for the first free session. We process a Supabase user identifier, authentication and session information, consent version and timestamp, and a support ID derived from the user identifier. If you link an account for purchase or recovery, we also process the verified email address and OTP account status. We do not put Supabase access or refresh tokens into analytics.
Briefs, projects, and creator decisions
We process information you choose to provide, including project title, optional brand name and due date, pasted brief text or a selectable-text PDF, extracted checklist requirements and source quotes, creator edits, confirmed checklists, result evidence, creator overrides, notes, and report metadata.
Recording and analysis inputs
Camera and microphone access is used to record a take after you open the camera and grant permission. The original full video is stored through Android MediaStore and remains under your device control. When you explicitly request a check, TakeBrief prepares compressed extracted audio, no more than 12 resized sampled frames, and OCR text on the device, then uploads those bounded inputs to private storage for analysis. The full original video is not uploaded.
Purchase and entitlement information
For paid features, Google Play and RevenueCat process the purchase. We receive and store only the information needed to recognize access, such as the TakeBrief app-user identifier, product or package identifier, entitlement status, purchase environment, renewal or expiration status, and a minimal subscription mirror. We do not receive full payment-card numbers.
Diagnostics and limited analytics
We may process app version, Android API level, coarse device model or performance class, project and requirement-type counts, take-duration bucket, analysis timing and error code, result-state counts, purchase funnel events, and campaign parameters. Analytics must not contain raw brief text, brand name, email, transcript text, frames, image or storage paths, or report content.
3. What we do not collect through TakeBrief
TakeBrief does not request your contacts, precise location, advertising identifier, call logs, SMS inbox, email inbox, or full payment-card information. It does not perform live transcription or upload a live camera or microphone stream while you record.
4. How we use information
- Create, secure, recover, merge, support, and delete accounts.
- Turn submitted briefs into creator-editable checklists.
- Run a check you request and show evidence-backed results.
- Save projects, checklists, results, reports, and creator decisions.
- Enforce free and paid limits and restore subscription access.
- Prevent abuse, diagnose failures, secure the service, and provide support.
- Measure service reliability and product use with non-content analytics.
- Meet legal, tax, billing, platform, and security obligations.
5. Service providers and disclosures
We do not sell personal information. We disclose information to service providers only as needed to operate TakeBrief, and may disclose it when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Authentication, database, private storage, and server functions | Account identifiers, project data, temporary analysis inputs, results, usage, and deletion records |
| Google Gemini | Brief parsing and requested post-capture analysis | Submitted brief text or PDF content, extracted audio, bounded sampled frames, OCR text, and request metadata |
| RevenueCat and Google Play | Purchases, subscription status, entitlement, restoration, and billing support | App-user identifier, product and transaction information, entitlement, renewal, and purchase status |
| Cloudflare, Hostinger, and other infrastructure providers | Public web resources, network delivery, security, and service hosting | Standard web request and security data |
6. Retention
- Temporary analysis audio, sampled frames, and related inputs are deleted immediately after terminal processing; orphaned inputs have a maximum storage period of 24 hours.
- An imported PDF is deleted immediately after parsing; an orphaned PDF has a maximum storage period of 24 hours.
- Brief text, checklists, result evidence, creator decisions, and report metadata remain until you delete the project or account.
- The original video remains in Android MediaStore until you delete it on the device. Account deletion does not delete a separately saved device video.
- Unlinked anonymous accounts with no retained project, verification, purchase, deletion, or security record may be deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Security and deletion audit records may be kept for up to 90 days after deletion, or longer only when required by law, fraud prevention, security investigation, or an active dispute.
- Google Play and RevenueCat may retain transaction records under their own legal and platform obligations.
7. Security
TakeBrief uses encryption in transit, authenticated requests, private storage, access controls, row-level security, user-owned storage paths, short-lived access links, server-side secrets, file-type and size validation, and rate limits designed to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
You can choose whether to submit a brief, record a take, request a check, link an email, purchase a plan, or override a result. You can delete individual projects and request account deletion through the app when the self-service control is available in your installed build, or at any time through the public account-deletion page. You may also contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, or other privacy rights available under applicable law.
9. Account deletion and subscriptions
Account deletion removes TakeBrief-owned account and cloud data as described on the account-deletion page, subject to the limited retention above. It does not remove a video saved separately on your device and does not cancel a Google Play subscription. You must cancel billing in Google Play separately.
10. People shown or heard in a recording
You are responsible for having the rights, permission, and lawful basis needed to record and analyze people, brand material, scripts, briefs, and other content you submit. Avoid submitting sensitive information that is not necessary for the requested check.
11. Age
TakeBrief is intended for users aged 18 and over. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through TakeBrief.
12. International processing
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use contractual or other safeguards for international processing, subject to applicable law.
13. Changes
We may update this policy as TakeBrief or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
14. Contact
